Job summary

Maersk is hiring a Forklift Operator in Elizabeth, NJ for 3rd shift. You will load and unload shipments, handle material with forklifts and pallet jacks, and maintain a clean, safe workspace in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You must have forklift experience and be able to lift 50+ pounds, read instructions, and work overtime including weekends. Our team values accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to TSA/OSHA guidelines while supporting a diverse, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink-wrap material
• Experience using an RF scan gun is required
• Previous forklift certifications preferred
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
• Must have the ability to work well with others
• High attention to detail required
• Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Responsibilities

• Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers in loading and unloading trucks
• Forklift experience
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting (asapplicable), counting products, and other like dutiesmust ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately.
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure a safe and secure work environment, including all TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are hiring a Forklift Operator, must have Forklift experience.

3rd shifts available as well.

The Forklift Operator is in charge of loading & unloading materials utilizing a hand truck, reach truck,or forklift. They are to maintain a clean and safe work environment and identify any discrepancies in receiving loads against manifest.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

• Previous warehouse experience preferred - 1 years experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires employees to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts.

• Monday, Tuesday Wednesday Friday- 2:00pm-10:00pm
  Sundays- 8:00am-4:30pm
• ONE weekday and SATURDAYS OFF.

Pay Salary:

$21.50 per hour
