Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC in Groveport, Ohio is seeking a Forklift Operator to move products throughout the warehouse using various material handling equipment. The role requires operating/ driving manual handling equipment and an externally accredited qualification/licence.

Responsibilities include pulling routes, staging freight, loading/unloading trucks, packing, scanning, and ensuring accuracy while complying with TSA and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be Forklift Certified.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scan gun experience required.
• Overtime and weekend availability.
• English reading/writing ability.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist with loading/offloading trucks.
• Perform picking, packing, scanning, kitting, and related duties as applicable.
• Maintain timeliness and accuracy of packaging and systems.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow TSA and OSHA guidelines for a safe workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Forklift Operator or a Groveport, OH location

Direct Hire - Full Benefits

8:00 AM– 6:30 PM 4 x10 shift Wed-Sat (1st shift)

Summary:

Role focuses on movement of products throughout the warehouse using various types of Material Handling equipment. Role requires the skills and experience to operate/drive manual handling equipment in accordance with local legislation. These roles will mostly require an externally accredited qualification/licence.

Typical titles include Forklift operator, Equipment Operator, MHE Operator

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products and other like duties
• Must ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be Forklift Certified
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse experience preferred - 1 year experience
• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks and banding/shrink wrap material
• Experience using a RF scan gun required
• Previous forklift certifications preferred
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
• Must have the ability to work well with others
• High attention to detail required
• Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision
• Must be able to lift 50+lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Physical Requirements:

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires employees to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts.

Pay Range:

$21.00 per hour

• The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
