Qualifications

• Must know how high, wide, and long the forklift and its load are, and how much the forklift can lift.
• Ability to judge doorway/aisle clearance for forklift movement and load placement.
• Knowledge of storage layout to locate/place items without detailed instructions.
• Skilled at moving forklifts in tight spaces and narrow aisles.
• Advanced skill beyond Hoist Operator 1 in forklift controls and operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage.
• Supply Manufacturing with materials as needed.
• Stage product to be moved or shipped.
• Rack unused supplies and maintain inventory location.
• Transport and process manufacturing paper by-products.
• Perform routine daily inspections on hoist and report maintenance needs.
• May perform battery service duties including inspecting/replacing batteries and lubricating truck parts.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures including hazardous waste handling and lockout-tagout.
• Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
