Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift in Kent, WA. The role involves picking orders, moving materials with a lift truck, and supporting shipping processes. Consistent year-round work and a non-rotating 8-hour shift are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift and pulling loads safely.
• Ability to follow packing and shipping procedures.
• Comfort with manual paperwork and labeling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive pull tasks with material info and retrieve correct material using a forklift.
• Transport pallets between locations and trailers.
• Complete required paperwork and prepare items for shipment.
• Wrap and band materials on pallets and package miscellaneous items for shipment.
• Raise/lower dock plate and manage trailer connections.

Job Title

Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift

Position Overview

To build custom orders to fulfill order requests. Position also responsible for the transport of merchandise from trailers to storage locations and from storage areas to trailers for shipping.

This position is located and works out of Kent, WA

$24.69 Hourly

Sunday: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Monday - Thursday 5:00pm-1:30am

Essential Functions:

Receiving a pull task with information on the hard surface material to be pulled and retrieving the correct material with a lift truck.

Transporting a pallet by forklift to and from location.

Complete paperwork as required.

Wrap and band hard surface materials prepared on pallets.

Prepare and package miscellaneous items in boxes for shipment.

Tape and repair any damaged packages.

Raise/Lower dock plate

Use orange cone system for full or empty trailers

Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager
