Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: The Forklift Operator is responsible for moving materials to and from proper storage areas by operating a small industrial vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive forklift in a safe and productive manner, complete daily inspections, and remove the lift from service if defects are found.
• Ship and receive products accurately and damage-free by completing Quality Reassurance Checks.
• Monitor the floor for safety concerns or infractions and act accordingly.
• Complete all documentation accurately.
• Fill customer orders precisely, following any special instructions.
• Prepare and close doors following inbound and outbound procedures.
• Collaborate closely with office staff to resolve discrepancies.
• Verify Hot List loads.
• Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and ensure pallets are stored properly.
• Promote teamwork through positive communication.
• Follow safe work practices, GMPs, and maintain sanitary conditions, reporting any issues affecting food safety or quality.
• Ensure food safety and quality of MFI products.
• Adhere to all safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent experience.
• At least six months of experience in a palletized warehouse environment preferred.
• Completion of Powered Industrial Truck training and forklift certification required.
