Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  2. Operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
  3. Keep stock and materials in an orderly fashion.
  4. Document materials unloaded and taken off trucks.
  5. Responsible for pulling jobs for production, inbound forms, inventory tags, and counts on materials received or shipped.
  6. Assist other shipping and receiving material handlers to balance the workload, organize warehouses, and perform general cleaning.
  7. Follow rules and procedures relative to the safe and efficient operation of the forklift, including reporting any missing, broken, bent, or worn parts of the forklift to supervisor and/or maintenance.
  8. Be alert to any obvious defects of incoming material.
  9. Adhere to all safety and work rules, company policies, and procedures.
  10. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Must be willing to work an off shift.
  2. High school diploma/GED.
  3. One year + prior experience operating a forklift.
  4. Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
  5. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.
  6. Ability to obtain and maintain PCA certified forklift license.
  7. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  1. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
  2. Ability to work independently and within a team, effectively communicating with members.
