Job Details

• Full-time position
• Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
• Location: Bellwood, IL

Responsibilities

1. Organize and secure materials, such as boxes, bales, pallets, and super stacks in a safe way
2. Pick orders from inventory using a pick sheet
3. Shrink wrap pallets to prepare them for shipping
4. Weigh products and/or loads and record weight
5. Report any faulty equipment, damage to racks, or other potential safety hazards
6. Maintain a clean work area
7. Analyze production schedules to determine movement, deliveries, and material requirements
8. Maintain equipment by cleaning, oiling, recharging, refueling, etc.
9. Coordinate with manager, employees, other departments, and equipment manufacturers regarding loading and unloading operations
10. Attend meetings with manager and coworkers
11. Prepare, present, and approve bill of ladings
12. Check in and approve new shipments
13. Perform quality checks
14. Adhere to uniform requirements
15. Ensure the oldest products are picked first by rotating stock
16. Stay alert to other employees in the work zone
17. Report quality variances
18. Use radio frequency equipment for picking, put-away, receiving, and load functions
19. Comply with OSHA Standards

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of certified forklift experience
• Preferred sit-down forklift and pallet jack experience
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read and communicate in English; bilingual preferred
