Job summary

Novo Building Products in Allentown, PA is seeking a Forklift Operator to move product safely and efficiently within the warehouse. The role requires operating a stand‑up forklift, scanning products with RF devices, and maintaining orderly, safe work areas.

The position is Full Time, night shift, with occasional overtime. Candidates must be 18+, hold a valid driver's license, and meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50–100 lbs and handling long items. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Physical ability to perform all essential functions, including moving awkward product lengths and weights.
• Experience operating a forklift rated for 6,500 lbs.
• Use of proper PPE and company‑approved tools; awareness of hazards and safety practices.
• Basic math, interpersonal, team, and reasoning skills.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures and standard work instructions.

Shift: Night (Monday – Thursday 1:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m., Four‑Day Work Week)

Pay and Overtime

Hourly Rate: $18.00
Pay Frequency: Bi‑weekly
Overtime: Occasional based on business demands

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in distribution or manufacturing environments.
• Experience operating forklifts with product weights of 2,500 lbs. or more.
• Experience lifting wide loads up to 18 feet.
• Minimum one year of forklift operation experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.

• Ability to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust.
• 100%: Stand, handle, and grasp.
• 80%: Reach with hands and arms; depth perception.
• 50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment.
• 10%: Work bent at waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or twist.
• Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Lift, push, or pull 75–100 lbs. with assistance.
