Job summary

Custom Staffing has partnered with a company in Lima, OH to hire an experienced Forklift Driver for a 1st shift role. Pay is $17 per hour and requires sit-down forklift experience and at least 2 years with clamp experience as a plus.

The position involves manual movement of freight and materials within a warehouse, plus contributing to safety, shipping/receiving procedures, and general labor tasks. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Sit-down forklift experience is required.
• 2 years experience; clamp experience is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of shipping/receiving in warehouse settings.
• Must read, understand and follow all shipping/receiving procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety checks of forklift trucks.
• Verify inbound freight conditions and document any damage or shortages.
• Place received product in designated locations and complete inventory tags.
• Pick, stage, and verify products for outbound orders; ensure accuracy.
• De-kit, band, wrap, restack, repack, and label customer products as needed.
• Scan labels to confirm receipt of inventory.
• Keep aisles clear and maintain safe, clean work areas.
• Follow safety standards at all times and report hazards.
• Notify Warehouse Team Lead of equipment, building, or security issues.
• Assist with inventory control and material consolidation.
• Ensure warehouse interior and exterior areas remain organized.
