Custom Staffing has partnered with a company in Lima, OH seeking an experienced Forklift Driver for daily warehouse tasks. This is a 1st shift position paying $17 per hour. The role involves moving freight, stocking, and completing shipping/receiving duties with attention to safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have a minimum 2 years forklift experience, sit-down forklift proficiency, the ability to lift 50lbs, and solid arithmetic skills. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety checks of forklift trucks.
• Handle receiving procedures and document any damages or shortages.
• Place received product in designated locations with inventory tagging.
• Pick, stage, and verify product for outbound orders; ensure accuracy.
• De-kit, band, wrap, restack, repackage, and label customer products.
• Scan labels to confirm inventory receipt.
• Keep aisles clear and maintain safe working conditions.
• Follow safety standards at all times.
• Report equipment, building, or security issues to the Warehouse Team Lead.
• Assist with inventory control and material consolidation.
• Maintain clean and organized warehouse areas.
• Prevent theft; secure doors/docks at close; monitor for unauthorized personnel.
• Enter data into company and customer systems.
• Maintain a consistently clean work environment.

Job Description:

Warehouse Associate is to manually move freight, stock, or other materials (glass, automotive, hazardous materials, fertilizer, etc.) throughout the warehouse. This position also works on various projects and performs other general labor functions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conducts daily safety check of forklift trucks.
• If in receiving area, ensures that proper receiving procedures are followed. This includes verifying the condition of inbound freight and documenting any damage, shortages, or over-shipments.
• If in receiving area, ensures that all product received is promptly placed in designated locations and inventory tags completed where applicable.
• Picking, staging, and verifying of the product and quantities for outbound orders. Also, ensures orders are filled accurately.
• De-kitting, banding, wrapping, restacking, repackaging, and labeling of customer products.
• Scans labels to show receipt of inventory.
• Ensures that aisles are kept clear.
• Ensures that safety standards are understood and being followed at all times.
• Notifies the Warehouse Team Lead of any problems with equipment, the building, or any suspicious activities.
• Maintains an ongoing consolidation of material and helps with inventory control operations.
• Ensures that the inside and outside areas of the warehouse are kept in a clean and organized manner.
• Takes necessary steps to prevent theft in the warehouse. Secures all doors and docks at the close of business. Questions any unauthorized personnel in the building.
• Data entry into company and customer systems.
• Maintains a clean working environment at all times
