Are you a motivated individual with a passion for ensuring smooth operations in a busy warehouse environment? Lakeside Book Company is looking for a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for operating forklifts and other machinery to move, stack, and organize products efficiently. Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload shipments from delivery trucks and containers.
• Organize and store products in designated areas within the warehouse.
• Perform case pick duties as required.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate shipping and receiving tasks.

Requirements

• Previous forklift experience required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment required.
• Steel-toe shoes are required to be worn every day for this position.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, stoop, reach, and carry up to 50lbs, during an 8 to 10-hour shift.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime which could include Saturdays.

Pay, Shift, & Location

• Pay - $18.75/hr
• Shift – Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm, with mandatory overtime as required.
• Location – 700 Airtech Parkway, Plainfield, IN 46168
