Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in Pennsylvania is seeking a forklift operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate a forklift to move materials, load and unload, and support production workstations while following safety protocols and wearing PPE.

You will receive day-to-day direction from a supervisor and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth material flow. Required is a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of forklift experience or certification.

Qualifications

• One year of forklift experience or certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to lift/move materials and load/unload at production areas.
• Perform safety checks and assessments on products and materials.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations and assist workflow.
• Support team members through effective communication and collaboration.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and safety procedures during all tasks.
• Receive day-to-day direction from supervisor.

1st Shift: 5am-3pm

General Duties

• Forklift operating skills to lift/pull/push materials onto forks from elevated heights - navigates throughout plant, including populated and small areas.
• Perform safety checks and assessments on product and materials.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Support other team members through collaboration and clear and concise communication skills.
• Work safely, wear PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Day-to-day direction provided by supervisor.

Physical Requirements

• Work with products up to 50lbs throughout the day.
• Constantly getting on/off lift truck to manually lift/slide/flip door skins.
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of Forklift experience.
• Highschool diploma or GED.
• Willingness to learn.
