Worthington Steel is seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our manufacturing team in Columbus, OH. You’ll safely transport large steel coils, support production lines, and help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations on Day 1.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience required.
• Ability to perform physical, repetitive work, including getting on and off a forklift throughout the shift.
• Basic math, computer, and communication skills.
• Ability to read work instructions and communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to following all safety and quality procedures. Strong work ethic with a team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport large steel coils throughout the facility using a forklift.
• Stage material at production equipment to keep operations running efficiently.
• Support production by removing scrap tubs and clearing finished product from processing lines.
• Perform quality checks and accurately move finished product into inventory.
• Assist with material handling and other daily production activities as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures while operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.

Shift Information

• Training begins on 1st shift
• Must be flexible to work either
  • 1st Shift 630 a.m. to 230 p.m.
  • 2nd Shift 230 p.m. to 1030 p.m.
• Fixed 8-hour shifts with paid lunch
• No rotating shifts
• Saturday overtime as needed
