Job summary

CROWN Cork & Seal USA, Inc. seeks a Forklift Operator for our Bradley, IL plant. You will load, unload and ship quality aluminum cans, transport inventory, and coordinate with production teams to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years working on a sit-down forklift experience required.
• Working in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, nights or days, weekends and overtime.
• Union membership after 30 days of hire.
• Preferred OSHA/Forklift Trainer certification and knowledge of Beverage Packaging industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place and follows safety rules.
• Operates sit-down propane forklift to transport inventory and load trailers.
• Transports inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment.
• Understands daily production schedule and communicates with management and coworkers.
• Performs visual inspection of cans and packaging quality.
• Monitors schedules, equipment, or processes and reports problems to Supervisor.
• Follows SOPs and communicates concerns to proper personnel.
• Assists Quality Assurance in locating pallets for sampling.
• Performs other related duties as required.
