Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator to move pallets from dock to storage and ensure accurate slotting across day and night shifts. The role emphasizes safe operation of forklifts and adherence to SOPs within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Starting pay is $23.00 per hour with a schedule of Wednesday - Saturday, 6:00 am to completion. Benefits begin day one, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Related Experience: Job-related certification for Material Handling Equipment; Prior Selector and/or Forklift experience is preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); must be able to understand Voxware commands.

Responsibilities

• Transports pallet loads of product from the dock to the correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and ensures all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when the product is selected.
• Replenishes pick slots with products from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
• Performs operations and safety checks, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
• Records all product, equipment, and warehouse damage.
• Maintains the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from the floor and racks.

Great Forklift Operators are crucial to the US Foods® team and one of the important faces of our organization. Our Forklift Operators strive for integrity and reliability while building trusting relationships with customers.
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $21.00 and $25.00.
