Job Summary:

The forklift operator is responsible for moving products from production lines to trailers, ensuring the trailers are loaded according to customer requirements and damage-free during transport.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Operate equipment safely by passing a forklift test.
2. Understand and utilize the loading summary manifest sheet for product distribution.
3. Use RF scanning systems to identify products.
4. Palletize products for shipment, adhering to customer pallet requirements.
5. Ensure damage-free shipping by stabilizing loads properly.
6. Maintain quality standards in handling products.
7. Handle various unit configurations without damaging products.
8. Report high-risk products to team leads or warehouse managers.
9. Report load problems for resolution.
10. Complete required paperwork for pallet check-offs.
11. Conduct forklift inspections before use.
12. Pull orders for warehouse releases.

Qualifications:

• Experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
• Previous forklift operating experience.
• High attention to detail and dexterity to operate equipment safely.
• Pass substance abuse screening and criminal background checks.
• Strong work ethic and energy level.

Machines/Tools/Equipment:

Forklifts, hand banders, computers, scanners.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to extreme temperatures, rain, or snow in yard or warehouse environments.
