JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $22.50 per hour, plus $1.75 per hour shift differential

Weekend Shift: 7 am-7 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Associate loads and operates machinery to blend raw materials into compounds for extrusion. Maintains consistency of raw materials, ensures smooth flow from railcars, silos, and hoppers, and monitors the blending network. Trains in various computer programs used by the department.

• Ensure correct raw materials are selected
• Operate and monitor computerized blending systems
• Analyze output to meet quality standards
• Adjust systems to optimize production
• Unload railcars and prepare them for use
• Coordinate with Shipping on railcar usage
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Perform preventive maintenance and report issues
• Assist maintenance as needed
• Record data and generate shift reports
• Stage and restock ingredients
• Operate forklift safely
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Conduct month-end inventories
• Participate in safety programs
• Perform Production Associate 1 functions if necessary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Proficiency with computer systems for at least 90 days
• Experience in blending and material handling
• Ability to learn computer systems and operate forklifts safely
• Good manual dexterity, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and team lift up to 100 lbs
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, temperature extremes, and dust
• Physical ability for walking, standing, climbing (up to 90 feet), and heavy lifting
• Use of safety equipment and adherence to safety protocols
