Base pay range

$5.00/hr - $5.00/hr

We are seeking a high performing and motivated person for a Forklift Operator position at our plywood mill located in Wiggins, MS. Position is available in our Dryer department. Main responsibilities include moving veneer across the mill. One forklift position is available. These are 12-hour shifts.

Required Experience

Our forklifts are Hyster propane fuel type forklifts. Our forklifts are similar in size to the ones normally operated in a warehouse environment, prior and recent experience driving a forklift in a production/industrial environment is required. Preference will be given to those who have recent experience moving/stacking heavy, bulky items. High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

• Have a proven job history for staying at most jobs for a long period of time. You understand that you will never grow and expand your skills unless you commit to a company and are in the position to take on additional responsibility and training.
• We expect you to THINK. If it looks dangerous, stop and let us talk about it. If you see a better way of doing something, tell us about it.
• Are not afraid of working in rain, cold or hot weather. Production continues even when the weather is not that great. Thus, forklift operators are loading and unloading in the rain and cold/hot weather.
  
  

When we are successful, so are you! We offer:

• Starting pay rate of $18.85/hr.
• $1/hr. night shift differential is paid for hours worked between 5pm - 5a.
