Job summary

The Baillie Group member AHI is seeking a Forklift Operator in Waynesboro, VA for a first shift position. The role involves operating a forklift in a warehouse to locate, organize and move material, and performing related production tasks.

Candidates should have prior warehouse experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, and be willing to work overtime. Safety adherence and precision in stacking and sorting are essential requirements for this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

AHI, a member of The Baillie Group is looking to add a Forklift Operator to the team in Waynesboro, VA. This is a great opportunity for an individual to join a world class lumber organization as a first shift forklift operator. The positions primary responsibilities include operating a forklift in a large open warehouse to locate/organize/move material as needed.

• When not driving a forklift, employee may be asked to complete other work as needed
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Identify the sort numbers for the carts you are responsible for. Pull boards into the correct carts according to the sort numbers on the boards.
• Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred
• High School degree preferred, but not required.
• Assist in all areas of production
• Adherence to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work independently
• Capable of working efficiently/safe as well as keeping a high level of precision

Forklift Operator Qualifications

• Previous experience as an equipment operator using a forklift of 10,000 lbs. and heavier required
• Prefer someone who has at least 1 year of experience within the last 2 years
• Must be self motivated and organized
• Willingness to work in outside environmentWillingness to work overtime
• Locating/pulling/organizing loads of material needed for orders
• Ability to work independently
