Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials and maintain a clean, safe facility. The role starts at $19 per hour with room for advancement and professional growth.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, basic maintenance skills, and legal eligibility to work in the United States. You will work in a team environment with a strong emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance checks on assigned forklift before operation.
• Notify technician in advance when maintenance is needed.
• Operate forklift in a fast-paced environment while keeping facility clean and safe.
• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Keep warehouse clean, orderly, and all materials stored properly.
• Follow all safety regulations and participate in training to improve skills.

Position Summary

TheForklift Operator operates and manages movement of materials to ensure a clean, organized facility, respects forklift safety criteria and fulfills production needs.

Starting rate $19 per hour with opportunities for advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Completes daily maintenance checks of the assigned unit before operation to ensure safe operation of the equipment and that no repairs are needed.
• Notifies technician inadvance when aware that equipment will need maintenance.

• Operates forklift while in a fast-paced environment and maintains a clean and safe facility.
• Loads and unloads trailersin a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensures that thewarehouseis kept clean, orderlyand all materials are properlystored.
• Operates forklifts/pallet jack following all company safety regulations.
• Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience and basic operator level maintenance experience, be legally eligible to work in the US , and be 18 years of age or older. It is required to have a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
