Casella Waste Systems, Inc. in Taft Corners, Vermont, is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials, maintain a clean, safe facility, and support production needs. Starting pay is $18.00-$22.00 per hour with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, basic maintenance know-how, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Training and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily maintenance checks of the assigned unit before operation to ensure safe operation of the equipment.
• Notifies technician in advance when aware that equipment will need maintenance.
• Operates forklift in a fast-paced environment and maintains a clean and safe facility.
• Loads and unloads trailers safely and efficiently.
• Keeps warehouse clean, orderly and materials properly stored.
• Operates forklifts/pallet jack following all safety regulations.
• Participates in training and other learning opportunities to support company goals.

Position Summary

TheForklift Operator operates and manages the movement of materials to ensure a clean, organized facility, respects forklift safety criteria, and fulfills production needs. Starting pay range is $18.00-$22.00 per hour#INDSJ

Key Responsibilities

• Completes daily maintenance checks of the assigned unit before operation to ensure safe operation of the equipment and that no repairs are needed.
• Notifies technician inadvance when aware that equipment will need maintenance.

• Operates forklift while in a fast-paced environment and maintains a clean and safe facility.
• Loads and unloads trailersin a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensures that thewarehouseis kept clean, orderlyand all materials are properlystored.
• Operates forklifts/pallet jack following all company safety regulations.
• Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience and basic operator level maintenance experience, be legally eligible to work in the US , and be 18 years of age or older. It is required to have a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
