Job summary

Staffmark Group in Plant City, FL, is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely move materials, load/unload inventory, and support warehouse operations. You will perform daily equipment inspections and maintain shipping records.

The role requires forklift experience, a focus on safety, and reliable attendance. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with a pay rate of $16.50 per hour and full benefits.

Looking for Forklift Operator jobs in Plant City where your equipment skills keep warehouse operations moving? This opportunity lets you safely transport materials, support inventory movement, and help maintain efficient warehouse and distribution operations.

Job Duties

• Operate counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks to transport materials and finished products
• Load, unload, move, and stage inventory throughout the facility
• Perform daily equipment inspections, including brakes, tires, forks, and steering
• Scan barcodes, label pallets, and maintain shipping and inventory records
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
