Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is hiring a Forklift Operator for the Monday–Friday 1pm–9:30pm shift in St. Louis, MO. This direct-hire role includes benefits and PTO from day one, with a focus on safe loading/unloading, material handling, and efficient warehouse operations.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, use RF scan guns, and work with team members to meet daily shipping goals. A minimum of 1 year warehouse experience and ability to lift 50+ lbs are preferred; English

• Must be able to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Experience using RF scan guns is required.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long periods.
• English reading/writing ability required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers in loading and unloading trucks.
• Forklift experience required for daily tasks.
• Material handling may include picking, packing, scanning, kitting, counting products, and other duties to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure a safe and secure work environment in line with TSA/OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for Forklift Operator

Monday through Friday 1pm-9:30pm

The Forklift Operator is in charge of loading & unloading materials utilizing a hand truck, reach truck,or forklift. They are to maintain a clean and safe work environment and identify any discrepancies in receiving loads against manifest.

Essential Functions

• Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers in loading and unloading trucks
• Forklift experience
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting (asapplicable), counting products, and other like dutiesmust ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately.
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure a safe and secure work environment, including all TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies

• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink-wrap material
• Experience using an RF scan gun is required
• Previous forklift certifications preferred
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
• Must have the ability to work well with others
• High attention to detail required
• Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Experience

• Previous warehouse experience preferred - 1 years experience

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires employees to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts.

Pay Range

$20 to $21 per hour

• The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
