Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United States is hiring a Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. You will perform case picking to pallets using an electric pallet jack in a fast-paced environment, with duties including loading/unloading, moving stock, and maintaining safety standards. Shift is 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Starting pay $18.00 per hour plus attendance and performance bonuses. Qualifications include forklift operator certificate or training within 30 days, HS diploma

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Six months forklift operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using forklifts or power equipment.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment with exact counts and types.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through records and reports.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.

The core responsibilities of this role include: We are seeking a motivated Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The primary responsibility will be case picking orders to pallet using an electric pallet jack in a fast-paced environment. Performance is measured against production standards within our Labor Management System (LMS).

You’ll have the opportunity to cross-train in other warehouse functions, including loading/unloading shipments and/or operating equipment such as dock stockers, reach trucks, and clamp trucks.

Shift: 1st Shift Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM –; 2:30 PM
Pay: $18.00/hour
Additional Incentives: Attendance bonus and Performance bonus

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience: 6+ months experience operating stand-up material handling equipment (electric pallet jack required; dock stocker, reach, clamp, or order picker experience a plus). Prior exposure to a WMS (Warehouse Management System) such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA, or SAP. Experience in production, manufacturing, quality control, or general warehouse operations. Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Role Purpose

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks.Our environment is team oriented, fast paced and safety focused. Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience
