Job summary

International Paper in Sealy, TX, is seeking a Forklift Operator for a full-time, on-site role from 7am to 3pm, with some Saturdays. The position requires certified forklift operation, the ability to read measuring tools, and basic shop math.

You will handle loading/unloading, inventory, and paperwork while maintaining a safe, organized workplace. Pay rate is $22.59 per hour with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified to operate forklift.
• Ability to read a measuring tape or ruler.
• Ability to use basic shop math.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Following all safety rules and practices.
• Reading factory orders and shipping/receiving papers to learn customer requirements and processing information.
• Monitoring conveyor take-off lines, removing units from the lines, and loading units into trailers or placing units in storage areas.
• Inspecting finished goods, checking load tags and unit counts to verify correctness.
• Completing tally sheets to record units loaded into trailers.
• Maintaining clean and organized work areas, storage areas, and aisles.
• Maintaining well-organized paperwork.
• Generating accurate bill of lading.
• Taking and maintaining accurate inventories.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Sign-on Bonus

$500 after 30 days,
$500 after 6 months,
$500 after 1 year and an additional bonus at 2 years

Retention Bonus

$500 after 1 year
Additional lump sum after 2 years

The Job You Will Perform:

• Following all safety rules and practices
• Reading factory orders and various shipping and/or receiving papers to learn customer requirements and processing information
