Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group is hiring a Forklift Operator in Kearneysville, WV. You will support warehouse operations, loading/unloading, and inventory control in a safety-focused facility.

Experience with forklifts, clamps, pallet jacks or SAP is valued. The role offers a 6pm–6am schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation, with competitive pay and benefits. Join ROCKWOOL to contribute to safe, efficient shipment of stone wool products.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years' experience operating a forklift, clamp truck, or pallet jack.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in continuous flow manufacturing or industrial environments with automated equipment.
  • Previous SAP experience preferred.
  • Organizational and analytical skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and trouble shooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload ROCKWOOL product and materials from pallets, skids, platforms, trucks, lifting devices or other transport sources, while ensuring no damage and accurate labeling.
  • Implement inventory management processes to account for product location and distribution, including stock counts and discrepancy investigations.
  • Maintain work equipment and perform basic troubleshooting; act as first line of defense for process and equipment issues.
  • Be a team player in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ensure product volumes match production plans and customer order fulfillment metrics.

Forklift Operator Kearneysville, WV 25430

Schedule: 6PM – 6AM (2-2-3 schedule)

Pay: $21/hour with additional $1 per hour shift differential

About the Role:

As a member of the Warehouse team, you will become an integral part of the ROCKWOOL supply chain that provides day to day management of finished goods, housing of inventory and on-time shipment of products. You will support operations to meet the needs of our customers, ensuring products are aesthetically packaged to specifications and to our high-quality standards. You will receive training on equipment, such as forklifts, to complete your work and be educated on all safety procedures to ensure you are working in a safe manner.

What We’re Looking For:

What You’ll Do:
  • Load and unload ROCKWOOL product and materials from pallets, skids, platforms, trucks, lifting devices or other transport sources, while ensuring no damage to the product, and that products are accurately labelled.
  • Implement a diligent inventory management process to account for product location and distribution which often involves using physical stock counts and investigating discrepancies and adjusting errors.
  • Maintain work equipment, which may require basic troubleshooting, and act as a first line of defense for process, mechanical and technical issues.
  • Team player who can work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
  • Ensure the correct product volumes are produced and delivered against production plan and key performance factors as part of the customer order fulfilment team.
