Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is supporting a client in need of an experienced Forklift Operator to join the Material Handling team. You will supply lines with raw materials and move unfinished goods through the manufacturing process to keep production moving.

The ideal candidate prioritizes safety, shows reliable communication, and demonstrates good time management. Forklift experience is preferred; certification is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete forklift certification requirements.
• Basic safety training and PPE usage understood.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and PPE usage.
• Operate stand up and LP forklift to support daily production flow.
• Supply raw materials to production lines and move unfinished goods.
• Maintain kit carts and manage inventory in stockroom.
• Participate in physical inventory and uphold 6S/Lean standards.

Job description

Our client, manufacturing operations is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the Material Handling team supporting production by supplying lines with raw materials and moving unfinished goods through the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, reliable communication skills, and the drive to meet efficiency and productivity standards which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: Will start at $15.00 per hour while training on 1st shift and increase to $17.00 per hour when transitioned to 2nd shift

Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
*Must be available to train on 1st shift initially (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

What's the Job?

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including proper use of required PPE.
• Operate a stand up and LP forklift safely to support daily production flow.
• Supply raw materials where needed in the production process and facilitate movement of product through manufacturing.
• Maintain kit carts where applicable and manage/consolidate inventory in stockroom and other areas as directed.
• Participate in physical inventory activities and maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards.

What's Needed?

• Ability to complete requirements for Forklift Certification.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well with a variety of people in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior forklift operation experience preferred; knowledge of parts and home locations is a plus.
