Job summary

Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, seeks a Forklift Operator to oversee inbound inventory and support warehouse efficiency. You will ensure accurate receipt, inspection, and processing of shipments while maintaining a safe receiving environment.

Reports to the Warehouse Manager; schedule is Thursday - Sunday 6:30am - 5:00pm, at our New Kensington facility. Requires forklift certification and 1–2 years of warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification required for sit-down, reach, or stand-up lifts.
• 1–2 years forklift operation experience in warehouse or distribution.
• Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/operate equipment for extended periods.
• Familiarity with WMS and basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory records.
• OSHA forklift safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to unload shipments.
• Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues.
• Enter received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Transport goods to storage locations using forklift and equipment.
• Stack and organize palletized inventory safely and efficiently.
• Communicate shortages, overages, or damaged goods with teams.
• Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized receiving dock and warehouse area.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Coordinate with carriers for delivery scheduling and documentation.
• Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and site policies.

This role is responsible for ensuring all inbound shipments are accurately received, inspected, and processed while maintaining a safe and organized receiving environment.

This role will report to the Warehouse Manager, working Thursday - Sunday 6:30am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers
• Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices for accuracy
• Inspect incoming goods for damage, discrepancies, or defects and report issues to the appropriate team
• Enter received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS) accurately and in a timely manner
• Transport received goods to designated storage locations using forklift and other powered industrial equipment
• Stack, organize, and store palletized inventory safely and efficiently
• Communicate with purchasing and procurement teams regarding shortages, overages, or damaged goods
• Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any equipment issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock and warehouse area
• Assist with cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits
• Coordinate with shipping carriers for delivery scheduling and documentation
• Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies

Required skills and qualifications:

• Valid forklift certification (sit-down counterbalance, reach truck, or stand-up) required
• 1–2 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills
• Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents
• Ability to work Thursday - Sunday 6:30am - 5:00pm
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory record-keeping
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and stand/operate equipment for extended periods
• Knowledge of OSHA forklift safety standards and best practices
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• High school diploma or GED required

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in air filter, HVAC, or related manufacturing/distribution industries
• Familiarity with lean, 5S, and continuous improvement principles
• Experience interpreting and applying receiving regulations and carrier requirements
