Job summary

Edgewell Personal Care seeks a Warehouse Associate to pull, move, and distribute material and product in our Florida facility. You will inspect loads, operate lifting devices, and ensure accurate, timely delivery while adhering to safety and GMP standards.

Qualifications include at least 1 year in distribution/manufacturing, ability to operate forklifts/stock pickers, basic math skills, and clear English communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in a distribution or manufacturing center (receiving, pulling orders, packing, shipping preferred).
  • Ability to obtain certification to safely operate mobile equipment (forklift, pallets, stock pickers).
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with others and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect product load for accuracy and ensure timely and complete delivery.
  • Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes for transport.
  • Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, or other transport vehicles.
  • Weigh materials or products and record weight and data on tags or labels.
  • Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines.
  • Signal workers to discharge, dump, or level materials.
  • Return components from work orders while following safety rules.
  • Stage components for work orders with safety in mind.

Position Summary

Pulls, moves, and distributes material and product.

Essential Functions
  • Inspect product load for accuracy, and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
  • Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
  • Weigh materials or products, and record weight and other production data on tags or labels.
  • Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines.
  • Signal workers to discharge, dump, or level materials.
  • Bring overhead product down to pick bay.
  • Returning components from work orders while compelling with safety rules.
  • Staging components for work orders, while compelling with safety rules.
  • Able to use scan gun equipment effectively, supplying components for different department as needed.
  • Follow all EPC Safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Lean 5S policies and regulation guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Minimum one year of previous experience in a distribution and or manufacturing center including receiving, pulling orders, packing and shipping preferred.
  • Previous experience operating powered industrial equipment (i.e. forklift, pallets, stock pickers) preferred.
  • Ability to obtain certification to safely operate mobile equipment (i.e. forklift, pallets, stock pickers)
  • Basic math and computer skills required.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and be detailed oriented.
  • Ability and willingness to work closely with others and departments.
  • Ability to document and communicate properly.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
Working Relationships
  • Edgewell teammates, contractors and regulatory agencies.
Work Environment
  • Work on night shifts and weekends may be required.
  • Ability to work a 8+ hour shift standing, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (maybe above 30 ambient degrees or below 20 ambient degrees in areas of production).
  • Fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing environment.
Environmental, Health & Safety Responsibilities
  • Exposure to health risks or conditions that may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Be aware of and follow the Environmental Policy and EH&S work instructions/procedures that apply to the job.
  • Perform every job safely, for the benefit of self, co-workers, contractors, and for the protection of facilities. This includes the use of required personal protective equipment and use of safety equipment as well as safe work practices.
  • Immediately report every job-related injury or illness, regardless of severity, to a supervisor.
  • Assist in investigating incidents.
  • Take necessary actions to correct or stop any unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings and training.
  • Review Material Data Sheet instructions before working with any chemical product.
Quality Assurance Responsibilities
  • Teammates are responsible for their own quality and that of teammates within their span of control.
  • Teammates are responsible for following all established Quality procedures and instructions.
  • Notify supervision for corrective action if defects are found and/or parts/processes do not conform to specifications.
