Job summary

T.G. Lee Dairy is seeking a forklift operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team in Florida. You will operate gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric forklifts to load, unload, and move products within the facility, ensuring accuracy and safety under DFA guidelines.

The role includes night shifts with a pay rate of $21.50 per hour. Benefits include 401(k) with company contribution, paid vacation/holidays, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift certified and able to operate powered industrial trucks.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Able to follow directions and document paperwork clearly.

Responsibilities

• Execute loading and unloading of products in trailers.
• Distribute pallets from palletizer to distribution trailers and staging areas.
• Stage materials for production.
• Move product and materials within facility (plant and/or cooler).
• Receive materials for warehouse storage.
• Supply packaging materials to line as needed.
• Maintain pallet supply for palletizer.
• Rotate packaging using FIFO.

T.G. Lee Dairy has an immediate job opening for fast paced and motivated forklift operator (forklift certified) to operate gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices, such as forklift, boom, scoop, liftbeam and swivel "hookfork" grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in a warehouse, storage yard, or facility.

RATE OF PAY:

• $21.50 per hour

SCHEDULE AVAILABLE:

• Mon-Wed-Thurs-Friday-Sat from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am;

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute the loading and unloading of products in trailers
• Distribute pallets of product from the palletizer to distribution trailers and staging areas
• Stage materials for production
• Move product and materials within facility (plant and/or cooler)
• Receive materials for warehouse storage
• Supply packaging material, cartons and hulls to line as needed
• Maintain pallet supply for palletizer
• Rotate packaging and ingredients using FIFO (First In - First Out)
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format and completed with required information
• Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s
• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred
• Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment
• Able to effectively work in a team environment
• Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
• Able to use company computer systems
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Able to follow directions
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
