Job Summary

This position is responsible for operating the forklift to move product and materials around the facility in an efficient manner while adhering to all established safety policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures
• Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and flexibility in scheduling
• Operate forklift safely and follow all safety and company policies
• Inside forklift duties: feed production lines, remove wet tile racks, place dry racks, transport tiles between racking and cure bays
• Outside forklift duties: load trucks with proper tiles, unload transfer trucks, assist with other shipment materials
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on forklift; report issues immediately
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Good communication skills
• Reliable team player with a strong work ethic

Education and Experience

• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
• High School Diploma preferred
• At least 1 year of related experience

Equipment and Materials

Forklift, mixers, air-driven pumps, moisture balance, dust collector system

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dust, chemicals
• Prolonged standing, repetitive movements, bending, twisting
• Lift/move items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to move about the facility and wear PPE

Hourly Wage: $20.80/hour. Compensation may vary based on location, experience, and skills. Benefits and total compensation details are provided as part of the employment package.
