Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator at our Noti, Oregon facility. You will safely operate a forklift to move lumber, tally units, and maintain a clean, safe work area to support production goals.

Qualifications

• 1 year of forklift experience with 18,000 lb+ capacity
• Knowledge of lumber species and widths/lengths
• Knowledge of Oregon Operating Rules for Industrial Trucks
• Verifiable references required
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate forklift while keeping pace with production
• Move lumber from yard and stack units by width and length
• Accurately tally units
• Perform daily maintenance checks on forklift
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Collaborate with other forklift drivers for proper placement of lumber
• Occasional overtime during busy production times

Currently, we are seeking a qualified Forklift Operator to work collaboratively with our sawmill in Noti, Oregon.

About The Position

• Safely and efficiently operate forklift while keeping pace with production
• Move lumber from yard and stack units by width and length
• Accurately tally units
• Perform daily maintenance checks and perform routine and minor maintenance on forklift
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Collaboratively work with other forklift drivers for proper placement and organization of lumber
• The work is fast-paced and can, at times, be demanding
• Work may consist of some overtime during busy production times

Qualifications

• 1 year experience operating forklifts with weight capacities of 18,000 lbs or more
• Proven knowledge of lumber species and widths/lengths of lumber
• Knowledge of Oregon’s Operating Rules for Industrial Trucks

• All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
