Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Forklift Operator in Newport, AR to safely move, load and stage materials in a fast-paced warehouse. You will receive and verify incoming materials, load trailers, and support inventory control while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Ideal candidates have forklift experience, knowledge of safety procedures, and a proven track record of reliability and accuracy.

Now hiring for a Forklift Operator

Location: Newport, AR

Schedule: Day shift Schedule & Training * 12-hour shifts * 2-2-3 rotation

Looking for Forklift Operator jobs in Newport where your equipment skills keep warehouse operations moving? This opportunity lets you safely transport materials, support inventory movement, and help maintain efficient warehouse and distribution operations.

Job Duties

• Operate forklifts to safely move, load, unload, and stage materials.
• Receive incoming raw materials and verify correct products and quantities.
• Load and unload trailers and move materials to designated storage locations.
• Supply raw materials to production areas as needed.
• Return unused materials to the appropriate warehouse locations.
• Scan and track materials using warehouse inventory systems.
• Inspect, rotate, count, and organize incoming materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and receiving area.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with additional warehouse and inventory duties as neede

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.
• 1-2+ years of forklift experience preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience required.
• Experience with loading, unloading, receiving, or inventory preferred.
• High-reach forklift and warehouse management system (WMS) experience preferred.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
• Ability to repeatedly lift approximately - pounds, with some duties requiring lifting up to pounds.
