Job summary

The Chefs’ Warehouse is seeking a forklift operator to manage pallet storage, retrieval, and movement within our Massachusetts warehouse. This role involves standing and sit-down forklift operation, stacking to heights up to 46 feet, and maintaining orderly receiving docks.

You will pick and replenish from upper racks to front bins, unload trailers, and ensure safe handling while monitoring quality and cleanliness. Training and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of forklift experience.
• Ability to pass forklift operating exam.
• Warehouse/distribution facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Stand-Up, High Reach, or Sit-Down forklift to put away or lower pallets up to 46 feet high.
• Pick, sort, and replenish products from upper racks to front pick bins.
• Unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and pallet jacks.
• Move products from receiving dock to storage locations manually or with equipment.
• Monitor and enforce safe product handling procedures.
• Replenish products from upper storage to lower pick bins in cooler.
• Monitor product quality during movement.
• Break down pallets on receiving dock.
• Maintain cleanliness of receiving docks and pick bin area.
• Clean and charge forklift at end of shift.
• Record daily actions using RF Scan Gun.

Position Summary:

The forklift operator is responsible for putting away, dropping down, and rotating full pallets of stock through the warehouse inventory reserve racks using a stand-up or sit-down forklift.

What you’ll do:

• Maneuver Stand-Up, High Reach, or Sit-Down Forklift to put away or let down pallets into warehouse racks up to 46 feet high.
• Picks/sorts and replenishes product from upper racks to front pick bins.
• Unloads product from trailers using forklift trucks and powered riding pallet jacks.
• Manually moves product from receiving dock to proper storage location.
• Monitors and enforces safe product handling procedures.
• Replenishes product from upper storage rack to lower pick bins within cooler.
• Monitors product quality as product is being moved.
• Breaks down pallets on receiving dock.
• Maintains cleanliness (sweep, mop, restack pallets) of receiving docks and pick bin area.
• Cleans and charges forklift at the end of shift.
• Record daily actions by use of RF Scan Gun.

• 2+ years of forklift experience.
