Job summary

The Bunzl North America distribution team is hiring a Forklift Operator to load, pick, pack and stock in our warehouse. You will operate a forklift, use RF handhelds, and follow safety procedures to maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Shifts: 1st 6:00am–4:30pm at $17.50/hr and 2nd 5:00pm–3:30am at $18.50/hr. Four-day work week with weekly pay and access to earned wages; benefits and 401K available.

Qualifications

• Experience operating powered industrial vehicles (PIV).
• Must lift 40–50 lbs as needed.
• OSHA certifications required upon hire.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and detail-focused.

Responsibilities

• Select customer orders from shelves, place onto pallet, and load onto trailer.
• Operate an industrial forklift safely and responsibly.
• Retrieve and stack product; use appropriate equipment.
• Utilize on-board computer and RF system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist other warehouse workers as directed by supervisor.

• Pay or shift range: $17.50 USD to $18.50 USD The salary range is based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, certifications and geographic location.

Description

The Forklift Operator will perform a variety of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

1st Shift-6:00am--4:30pm- 17.50 per hour

2nd Shift-5:00pm-3:30am- 18.50 per hour

4 Day Work Week and Weekly Pay!

Responsibilities:

• Select customer orders from shelves, place onto pallet, and load onto trailer
• Must operate an industrial forklift in a safe and responsible manner
• Must be able to retrieve and stack product safety use appropriate equipment
• Utilize an on-board computer and wireless radio frequency system
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist other warehouse workers in completing tasks as requested by the Warehouse Manager or immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated and proven track record of proficiency on all powered industrial vehicle (PIV) equipment operated in the warehouse.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 40-50 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift.
• Overtime is required based on business demands, sometimes on short notice
• Ability to understand written English without the assistance of translation software
• Previous equipment operation experience required
• Obtain all necessary certifications required by OSHA upon hire
• Must be dependable and a team player
• Strong attention to detail
