Job summary

Bunzl Distribution NA in Murray, KY is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to receive, stock, pick, pack and ship items in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role offers 1st shift (6:00am–4:30pm) and 2nd shift (5:00pm–3:30am) with hourly pay and a 4-day work week, plus weekly pay and competitive benefits. Duties include forklift operation, safety, and assisting teammates to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• Proven proficiency operating powered industrial vehicles (PIV) in warehouse
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs. repeatedly with/without accommodation
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Understand written English without translation
• Previous warehouse equipment experience expected
• OSHA certifications obtained upon hire and maintained

Responsibilities

• Select customer orders from shelves and load onto pallets
• Operate an industrial forklift safely and responsibly
• Retrieve and stack product using appropriate equipment
• Use on-board computer and RF system
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Assist other warehouse staff as directed by supervisor

Job description

The Forklift Operator will perform a variety of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

1st Shift-6:00am--4:30pm- 17.50 per hour

2nd Shift-5:00pm-3:30am- 18.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Select customer orders from shelves, place onto pallet, and load onto trailer
• Must operate an industrial forklift in a safe and responsible manner
• Must be able to retrieve and stack product safety use appropriate equipment
• Utilize an on-board computer and wireless radio frequency system
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist other warehouse workers in completing tasks as requested by the Warehouse Manager or immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated and proven track record of proficiency on all powered industrial vehicle (PIV) equipment operated in the warehouse.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 40-50 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift.
• Overtime is required based on business demands, sometimes on short notice
• Ability to understand written English without the assistance of translation software
• Previous equipment operation experience required
• Obtain all necessary certifications required by OSHA upon hire
• Must be dependable and a team player
• Strong attention to detail
