Job summary

CTDI is a large-scale engineering, repair, and logistics company serving the nation’s major wireless providers and high-speed Internet/cable services. The Forklift Operator will operate Powered Industrial Truck equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products, including unloading inbound shipments and preparing goods for shipment.

Shift is 1st, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday. Pay rate is $18.91 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Maintain CTDI PIT certification compliance.
• Strong attention to detail in task completion.
• Basic computer skills: Excel and Outlook.
• Able to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to locations.
• Stack and store products using forklift or other equipment.
• Prepare products for shipment with correct quantities and types.
• Move products from staging to trailers or production floor.
• Operate equipment safely according to warehouse standards.
• Report incidents involving PIT equipment to supervisor.
• Maintain inventory records and assist in physical inventories.
• May perform picking duties as needed.
• Carry out additional duties based on warehouse needs.

Forklift Operator is responsible for operating Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting products/materials.

1st Shift: 9:00AM - 5:30PM, Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $18.91 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to appropriate locations.
• Stacks and stores products in designated areas using a forklift, push-pull, or other powered equipment.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment by ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded.
• Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers and the production floor.
• Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following the established warehouse safety standards/regulations.
• Immediately report any incidents or accidents involving PIT equipment to a Supervisor/Manager.
• Maintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security.
• Assists in physical inventories.
• May require performing picking duties in an efficient manner.
• All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills and Experience:

• At least 1 years’ experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Maintain compliance with CTDI's PIT certification requirements.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office (Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus
• Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
• Written and verbal communication skills

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment
• The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary
• The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary
• The ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary
