Job summary

Euclid Chemical currently has an excellent opportunity for a Forklift Operator in a fully on-site role within our production facilities. The position requires operating sit-down, stand-up, reach truck and pallet jack, plus maintaining accurate inventory records.

The candidate must have at least a GED or high school diploma, one year of forklift experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. SAP knowledge is a plus and safety protocols must be followed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of forklift experience on sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, and electric pallet jack.

Euclid Chemical currently has an excellent opportunity for a Forklift Operator that is reliable, motivated and looking to play a critical role in all areas of production.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Read orders to determine what products are to be pulled and put on pallets.
• Receive incoming materials, verifying amount received against packing slip, manifests, invoices or orders and noting any shortages.
• Prepare product/materials for shipment- supporting the continuous retrieving of material and staging at designated locations along the production line.
• Record shipment data- including weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for recordkeeping purposes.
• Support maintenance and organization of warehouse - including cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Partake in inventory records management- noting stock received and dispersed.
• Support security of the warehouse and inventory- letting only authorized personnel in warehouse area.
• Communicate with supervisors on any problems or issues that may arise such as damages, shortages or nonconformance to specifications- escalating further as required to management.
• Sort and place products and materials on racks, shelves and/or in bins according to product code.
• Open crates and other containers.
• Load trucks
• Perform all duties in accordance with Health and Safety Protocols and company policies.

Qualifications and Previous Experience

• High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 1 year previous experience/certification for sit down forklift, stand up forklift, reach truck, and electric pallet jack- and ability to demonstrate proficiency on equipment.
• IT Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages- ability to maintain inventory records electronically.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Rate of Pay

$20.20 per hour
