Georgia-Pacific is seeking a forklift operator to join our corrugated facility in Kansas City, MO. The role operates a sit-down forklift to load/unload trailers and maintain accurate shipment records, with opportunities for skill-based pay adjustments.

The position requires basic forklift experience and computer/documentation tasks, with 2nd or 3rd shift availability. Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required, starting on day shift during orientation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) months of sit-down forklift experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or scan gun for documentation and/or record-keeping functions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 10,000 lb. sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and in good condition.
• Ensure accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
• Pull whip and raw material for production support.
• Verify receipts, load sheets, and other required paperwork.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least 8 hours a day.

Georgia-Pacific is now hiring Forklift Operator to join our Corrugated facility in Kansas City, MO! Our forklift operators will operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers while keeping accurate shipment records.

Salary

• $23.96 per hour
• 2nd Shift Differential - three dollars per hour = $26.96
• 3rd Shift Differential -Two dollars per hour = $25.96
• You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.

Shift

• Only candidates who are flexible and available to work any shift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift.
• The first two (2) weeks of orientation will be on day shift, then you will be assigned your 2nd OR 3rd shift after your orientation.

Shift Hours

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Starts Monday night)
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
