Job summary

Openwork is hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for a manufacturing operation in Houston, TX. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with mandatory overtime and weekend work as needed.

You will unload raw materials, move materials throughout the facility, and load finished products for shipment while maintaining safety and efficiency. The position is temp-to-hire with weekly pay and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years forklift operating experience required.
• Experience with propane forklifts preferred.
• Knowledge of basic forklift inspections.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move materials.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products.
• Transfer lumber and materials to production areas.
• Stage materials according to production and delivery schedules.
• Perform daily forklift inspections.
• Check for leaks, tire wear, and equipment safety concerns.
• Safely handle and change propane cylinders.
• Coordinate with supervisors and production teams.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Assist with additional material-handling and production duties as needed.

Schedule & Availability

Regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Mandatory overtime and weekend work may be required based on company and production needs.
