Job summary

Contech in Winchester, KY is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our plant team. You will operate forklifts to assemble loads, perform daily safety checks, handle materials, and help prepare lumber for dunnage use.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing, production, or distribution experience.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Ability to operate forklift in accordance with required guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-shift daily audits and maintain the forklift’s daily safety checklist.
• Operate forklift to build loads by assembling product into bundles and complete detailed paperwork for each load.
• Assist with material handling to ensure raw materials and finished goods are stored in the proper location.
• Prepare lumber for dunnage use, operate saws and nail guns with precision.
• Regularly fuel and maintain forklift and ensure it is parked in designated areas at the end of each day.
• Record and turn in production records as required.
• Keep yard area in a neat and orderly condition by organizing strapping, boards, stringers, and more.

About the Role
