Job summary

Carolina-Container-A-Division-of-New-Indy in High Point, NC seeks an experienced forklift operator to load and unload materials, move them to storage areas and loading docks, and prepare them for transport. You will read and follow factory master instructions, operate equipment safely, and maintain accurate paperwork and production reports.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.
• Complete forklift inspections before shift and after switching forklifts; submit maintenance requests as needed.
• Locate stock before the start of the run and adhere to daily production schedules.
• Deliver stock to machines safely and on time; ensure proper documentation and reports.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at optimal capacity and speed.

SUMMARY: Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner. Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.• Complete and document a forklift inspection form before start of shift and when operating a new forklift and turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.• Locate stock before the start of the run.• Adheres to daily production schedule.
