Bunzl Distribution NA is looking for a Forklift Operator in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The role involves selecting and preparing customer orders, safely operating forklifts, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Formación

• Demonstrated track record of operating powered industrial vehicle (PIV) equipment safely.
• Must understand written English without translation software.
• Must obtain necessary OSHA certifications.

The Forklift Operator will perform a variety of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

1st Shift: 6:00am-3:30pm

$17.00/hr | Weekly Pay!

Responsibilities

• Select customer orders from shelves, place onto pallet, and load onto trailer
• Must operate an industrial forklift in a safe and responsible manner
• Must be able to retrieve and stack product safely using appropriate equipment
• Utilize an on-board computer and wireless radio frequency system
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist other warehouse workers in completing tasks as requested by the Warehouse Manager or immediate supervisor

Requirements

• Demonstrated and proven track record of proficiency on all powered industrial vehicle (PIV) equipment operated in the warehouse
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 40-50 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift
• Overtime is required based on business demands, sometimes on short notice
• Ability to understand written English without the assistance of translation software
• Previous equipment operation experience required
• Obtain all necessary certifications required by OSHA upon hire
• Must be dependable and a team player
• Strong attention to detail
