Job summary

Aerotek in Frederick, MD is seeking a Forklift Operator to operate a range of forklifts in a rugged outdoor environment within a fast-paced manufacturing facility.

This contract-to-hire role involves loading and unloading from flat beds, organizing inventory on the yard, and verifying packing slips and shipping documents. You may work overtime to meet production needs and earn additional pay while enjoying benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience operating extended boom arm forklifts.
• Experience with stretch wrap machines and film roll up-enders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Description

This position requires operating a forklift in a rugged outdoor, paved and unpaved environment. You will work in a fast-paced, covered and uncovered manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate stretch wrap machines, film roll up-enders, and extended boom arm forklift equipment.
• Organize product on the yard according to inventory procedures.
• Safely load product onto and unload product from flat beds and box trailers.
• Validate packing slips, ship tickets, and other delivery documentation by auditing, recording, and interpreting shipping documentation, weights & measures, labels, and production schedules.
• Help with pallet restacks by cutting and dumping product, lifting bags of product, restacking on pallets, and rewrapping.
• Other duties or responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
