Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to move tiles and materials across the production facility. You will load/unload, feed lines, perform safety checks, and support both inside and outside forklift duties with reliability and attention to safety.

The role requires reading simple instructions, a high school diploma (preferred) and at least 1 year of related experience; strong teamwork and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced industrial environment at our Fort

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move product and materials around the facility.
• Feed production lines by removing wet tile racks and placing dry racks on line.
• Transport tiles between racking and cure bays; manage racks and tiles.
• Load trucks with tile color/profile and unload shipments as needed.
• Perform daily safety and forklift maintenance checks and report issues.

We work together to enhance peoples' lives through our products and presence in the communities in which we operate.JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for operating the forklift to move product and materials around the facility in an efficient manner while adhering to all established safety policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and ProceduresRegular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibilityOperate forklift in a safe and effective manner and follow all safety and company policiesInside forklift driver:Feed the production lines by removing wet tile racks and putting dry tile racks on the lineTransport tiles between the racking section of the tile machine and the cure bays using a forklift to remove racks of wet tiles, placing them in the cure bays and removing cured tiles and placing them back in the racking machine for further processingOutside forklift driver:Load trucks with the proper tile color and profile, in a timely mannerResponsible for unloading inner-company transfer trucks, as well as assistance with unloading other shipment materials, in timely mannerPerform daily safety and maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure safe and efficient operation.
