We are seeking skilled and motivated Forklift Operators for our Fort Myers, FL block manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Operate forklift inside or outside the plant, including placing racks, emptying debris containers, and assisting in plant operations.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area according to housekeeping standards.
• Assist with all duties of a utility person as needed.
• Properly set and remove product racks from conveyors without damage.
• Load pallet block injectors with wood or concrete blocks carefully.
• Understand the basic operating cycle of equipment such as block machines, front-end loaders, crawlers, batchers, cubers, and mixers, according to OEM manuals.
• Perform startup and shutdown of equipment, assist with maintenance and repairs, and report issues promptly.
• Clean mixers, hoppers, and other equipment regularly.
• Check material feed hoppers every 2 hours for buildup and clean as necessary.
• Report forklift malfunctions, perform pre-shift inspections, and check fluid and fuel levels.
• Operate a front-end loader safely for cleanup and loading tasks.
• Assist in training new employees.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to operate forklifts with certification.
• Basic computer skills for operating control panels.
• Ability to read rulers and tape measures accurately.
• Fluent in English for safety and communication.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating quantities.
• Professional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to learn production equipment operation.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl (50% of shift), stand (75%), and lift objects weighing up to 95 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 7 feet.
• Comfortable working in temperatures ranging from 25° to 100°F.
