Job description

Overview

Our Eagle Precast division is looking for a Forklift Operator at our Forsyth Facility. The Forklift Operator is responsible for moving finished products from the production floor to outside or from outside to be stacked for storage, pulling products to prepare for shipping, loading and unloading delivery trucks, and documenting all inventory that you handled. This employee may perform inspection and routine maintenance of forklifts or other onsite equipment. When not operating a forklift, this position is responsible for completing other tasks as required.

Daily Duties

• Operate forklift to move product to designated areas, including the loading and unloading of products from trucks.
• Move inventory and materials across facilities.
• Stack and organize large bulk items.
• Pull inventory to prepare for shipment.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Update inventory activity, lists, records, and log all completed tasks.
• When not operating a forklift, assist in pouring concrete into forms, patching concrete surfaces, or other general labor needed around the facility.
• Check equipment to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Follow safety procedures for vehicle/equipment operation.
• Perform manual labor related duties as directed.
• Always make safety a priority.
• Comply with OSHA safety laws and regulations.

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; preferred combinations of experience.
• Ability to work nights and weekends when needed.
• Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
• Capacity to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.; able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve practical problems, make logical decisions, and communicate ideas.
