Job summary

Dart Container is seeking a Forklift Operator to join the warehouse/shipping team in Federalsburg, MD. The role requires operating forklifts and clamp trucks, moving and loading orders, and ensuring safe, damage-free stacking while meeting safety and productivity KPIs.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of forklift/warehouse experience, can obtain PIT certification, and demonstrates basic math and accurate counting.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of forklift or warehouse experience (clamp truck experience preferred).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
• Ability to demonstrate basic math calculations and dimensional counting skills.
• Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language to ensure effective training.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and clamp trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
• Ensure damage-free stacking of products.
• Meet KPIs for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and warehouse guidelines.
• Manage customer requirements and storage logistics.
• Coordinate with departments for effective inventory management.

Schedule:

Work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts, giving you every other weekend off. Available shift:

• 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (includes $2/hour shift premium)
