Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to operate forklift and related equipment to move products within a facility. You will load/unload trailers, stage materials for production, and ensure accurate paperwork and FIFO processes.

The role requires teamwork, strong English communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while adhering to GMP and safety standards. This is an on-site, full-time position with potential for additional duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute the loading and unloading of products in trailers
• Distribute pallets of product from the palletizer to distribution trailers and staging areas
• Stage materials for production
• Move product and materials within facility (plant and/or cooler)
• Receive materials for warehouse storage
• Supply packaging material, cartons, and hulls to line as needed
• Maintain pallet supply for palletizer
• Rotate packaging and ingredients using FIFO (First In - First Out)
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out clearly and accurately
• Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOPs
• Identify opportunities to improve processes with a continuous improvement mindset
• Report any food safety and food quality issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Follow DFA GMP and related regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
• Other duties may be assigned as required

GENERAL PURPOSE

Operate gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices, such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel 'hook fork' grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in a warehouse, storage yard, or facility.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred
