Job summary

DFA is hiring a warehouse associate in a Dallas facility to operate powered industrial trucks, load and unload trailers, stage and move products, and manage packaging materials. You will follow SOPs, maintain FIFO sequences, and ensure accurate paperwork in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safe practices, and effective use of company computer systems while maintaining quality and food safety standards in compliance with DFA GMPs.

Responsibilities

• Execute loading and unloading of products in trailers.
• Distribute pallets of product from the palletizer to trailers and staging areas.
• Stage materials for production.
• Move product and materials within the facility.
• Receive materials for warehouse storage.
• Supply packaging material, cartons, and hulls to line as needed.
• Maintain pallet supply for palletizer.
• Rotate packaging and ingredients using FIFO.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out accurately and legibly.
• Document information in accordance with SOPs.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes using a continuous improvement mindset.
• Report any food safety and quality issues to management.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health, safety regulations.
• Follow DFA GMPs and sanitation requirements.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Operate gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices, such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel 'hook fork' grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in a warehouse, storage yard, or facility.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute the loading and unloading of products in trailers
• Distribute pallets of product from the palletizer to distribution trailers and staging areas
• Stage materials for production
• Move product and materials within facility (plant and/or cooler)
• Receive materials for warehouse storage
• Supply packaging material, cartons, and hulls to line as needed
• Maintain pallet supply for palletizer
• Rotate packaging and ingredients using FIFO (First In – First Out)
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format, and completed with required information
• Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s
• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
